Jason has been performing solo acoustic world folk music for over two years based in the Wilmington scene. Using exotic sounds and building his own rhythms live has allowed him to perform beyond the normal scope of solo acoustic musicians. Having picked up the didjeridoo in Australia 8 years ago and studying the highland bagpipes for 6 years on top of more than a decade of playing electric and acoustic guitar following his father's footsteps, he has been able to form an eclectic style of world folk beats and melodies punctuated by heavily spiritual lyrics. Traveling the world and surfing in nearly every ocean has become apparent in the different instruments that are pulled out and added to his songs.

Jason has also performed with various other musicians and national acts with his variety of accompanying instrumentation. Locally when he's not performing with the Port City Pipes and Drums (a local traditional Scottish bagpipe band) he has been found drumming with local West African Cheick Sissoko's African Drum Ensemble. The past three summers Jason has journeyed out to Illinois to play with his good friends Josh Garrels and the Psalters, and has been welcomed by artists passing through town such as Braddigan and mewithoutYou.

With all of the variety in his life Jason has had a hard time sitting down long enough to record a full length album. So far he has self released a 4 song EP entitled Winter Dreams available on CD Baby or iTunes. An new album is rumored to be in the works so keep an eye out or contact him for booking performances.

One more thing to note and on top of all the rest, Jason is now accepting students interested in learning the guitar and didgeridoo (Ancient Aboriginal instrument from Australia).
