My main artistic interest is Wood Sculpture. After a career in mechanical design with its rigid discipline and consisting mostly of straight lines, I enjoy the freedom of expression and melding of curvature with negative space.

I prefer to work in the abstract. I most enjoy working a piece of wood with no preconceived destination in mind and the characteristics of the wood, influences the outcome.

I'll use everything including the kitchen sink to achieve my artistic goals, but enjoy a sharp knife sliding through wood the most. I describe it as 'a Zen thing'. It's a feeling of total peace and the world is somewhere else.
