Traveling the world since the age of one, Davids original Jazz music is infused with ethnic instruments and is flavored with cultural influences from around the globe. But the music is not too esoteric to make it unfriendly to the ear. On the contrary, the Jazz and pop melodies are so catchy that one often walks away humming the tunes. And theres no lack of great funk and soul grooves to get you dancing.

The David Pray Trio features Rich Zimmerman or Leroy Harper, Jr. on sax, and Will Chacon on drums. David plays electric bass, keyboards, guitar, and sings. Jennifer Thacker also joins the Trio from time to time lending her sultry voice to interpret classic Jazz tunes. The sonic diversity is cleverly designed to keep the aural palate pleased and challenged. You can listen to the David Pray Trio on WFSS 91.9FM broadcast out of Fayetteville, NC.

Davids latest original music project, Aqua Viva, is a modern take on the Jazz palate with electronic grooves that soothe. Aqua Viva has been featured on Juliansflight.com, GHP Radio, Jazzylounge.com, ALOOGA BOOM Radio in Germany, and Groovera.com. Roy Harper, saxophonist extraordinaire and an alumni of the great James Brown band is regularly featured with Aqua Viva as is talented keyboardist Kevin Kolb.

A member of the Screen Actors Guild, David has appeared in TV shows, commercials and films. In the future he would like to score music for film soundtracks and is currently in development for a touring production.
